The third Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken movie. The story takes place between episode 35 and 36 of the TV series. After yet again defeating some of Hadlar's (the leader of the Great Demon King's Army) warriors and saving the princess, Dai and his fellow adventurers are relaxing and helping with rebuilding the island village. Unbeknownst to them Hadlar was usurped by a new demon lord called Galbus, who immediately sets forth to once and for all destroy Dai, using his own sextet of champions. During the initial surprise attack Dai's friend Maam's soul is taken and in order to get it back Dai and his friends must attack Galbus on his chosen batlleground. Will Dai survive this?
Learning that island of Delos has been taken over by Neuroi, Charlotte E. Yeager and Francesca Lucchini are teamed up with Hanna-Justina Marseille and her partner Raisa Pöttgen to draw out the Neuroi hiding within it. Francesca, who has strong family ties with Delos, objects to their superior's plan to destroy the island, so they work out a new plan to have Hanna and Raisa draw out the Neuroi while Charlotte and Francesca drop bombs on it. When this plan ends up failing, Francesca tries to attack on but is inevitably forced to retreat. The next day, before the bombardment on the island is due to take place, Charlotte, unwilling to let Francesca down, decides to make use of an abandoned ship's winch to pull the Neuroi out of its hiding place, allowing it to be destroyed without any damage to the island. Before the Trojan War, Agamemnon gathered the Greek armies at the port of Aulis. The goddess Diane sent unfavorable winds to prevent the Greeks from sailing. Her oracle set a condition for Agamemnon: to earn the right to sail forth and destroy an innocent country, he would have to sacrifice his own daughter. Agamemnon accepted these terms and killed his young daughter Iphigénie on the altar. In his play Iphigenia in Tauris Euripides imagines that Diane plucked Iphigénie from that altar and delivered her to a temple in distant Tauride, where Iphigénie began to serve the enemy Scythians as Diane’s high priestess—all the while Iphigénie’s family believing her dead.
