Hannah feels it is her fault that her fiancée, Emil is dead. Can she move on from her guilt? Ren is drawn to Hannah. Is he destined to help her through her grief? Ten years after the tsunami, two Filipinos meet at the ‘windphone’ of Otsuchi. Survivors call loved ones on a disconnected phone so their voices will carry in the wind to the souls lost in the tsunami. Hannah and Ren visit the hardest hit areas of the tsunami. They marvel at how so much has changed. They relive their last moments with their loved ones. The more Hannah talks about Emil, the lighter she feels. As Ren listens, he becomes more absorbed with Hannah. Ren tells Hannah many have lost loved ones in the tsunami. And not being able to say goodbye is not fair to both the living and the dead. Hannah gasps when she sees puddles forming at her feet. Then in a shivering voice, Hannah asks, “Have I died?”
